Dear Naomi, Lindsey and Cedella.
Re: Video after Meeting
After the meeting this morning we thank you for your time and patience.
We are pleased with the result and glad your happy with the video.
We feel as if you have understood why we made specific changes i.e the bed
scene at the Hewett School. The budget was changed due to we took half the time as
we had originally said. With a saving of £30. The target audience we feel was met
by the feedback we recieved from the video.
We hope to hear from yourselves in the future and have an oppurtunity
to work with such talented individuals. Best of luck.
Kind Regards,
Production Manager: Tuesdy George

Dear Naomi and Cedella,
We are pleased to announce that production is going well. After settling schedules we started filming straight away. We are now at the point where George is at Elm hill and tonight we will begin filming at Mousehold. We now have begun preparation for how we are going to distribute the video. Primarily via internet. A copy of the video will be with you soon.
Kind Regards

From this we can understand that we only filmed for two days instead of the four that we had first planned. We had to cut the actors salary by half. We missed out one location (The Hewett school field) so we took £20 off the final budget. This money went onto post production editing as we made three videos in top quaility editing suites. We have chosen to save the client £30 to encourage future projects.

Possible treatments.
When planning our video we had numerous ideas that had to then be rejected due to some situation or another. One proposed idea was we had a bed situated in the middle of the hewett school field suspended by two eary looking trees. This prooved to be somewhat unrealistic as we couldnt get a bed, transport for the bed or the permission for the use of the field as we were not sure who to speak to.
We wanted to have three characters, the main who could not sleep, a girl he had an attraction to and another male who is her current/new boyfriend. But we then opted that it would cost too much in our budget so we decided just to have it as one role.
We also thought about having a scene done in lowestoft beach for so our lead could walk along the promenade alone, but after much debate we came to the conclusion that we couldn't as Vikki had trouble getting down to lowestoft because of transport.

My product, my audience.
Our music video will be made to primarily intreeg young people. The song Insomniac - The Jubilees is a fast song accompanied with a heavy instrumental. The lyrics tend to be naisily and slurred. "Insomniac" is about not being able to sleep something of which we could all relate to and the frustration it inflicts. Our audience will be able to understand this aswell as enjoying the strong and catchy beat. In reflection to the band we will have the video's one character wearing dark yet high fashionable clothes such as designer like vivienne westwood and prada. This way of dress is normally named as "indie" or "alternative". This accomadates for people who tend to always want to appear as unique or original. The insomniacs are a young band and often that atrracts an audience of the same age as we all secretly would love to be in a band! The video will be distributed via internet sites such as Youtube, Facebook and possibly Myspace.
Record of Work.
Throughout the project certain tasks have been allocated to me because of my Production Manager Status. I have learnt how to and achieve:
Use an editing suite.
Casting a role.
Organizing a shoot day.
Writing a brief.
To be audience aware.
Create a shotlist.
Working out permissions.
How to use a camera.
Making a budget with the
group.
As a production manager my roles are mainly to be the communicator. Its my role to make sure everybody knows what there doing and when they are doing it. As a fairly confident speaker i found this easy to adress issues and new ideas to the Director and Producer.

Treatment

Treatment (Jubilee-Insomniac)
Creative Directors: Jake Richardson, Tuesdy George & Victoria Bobbin
Our concept takes the idea of insomnia and anxiety within an average person and this is why we have chosen to represent this in a black and white colour scheme, because we believe it narrows it don't to more of a clear and bolder image as to what an insomniac’s life is really like. This is represented in our mood board also, with many black and white images. This is where we developed reasons as to why we really wanted black and white and how it would be better than colour and also represent the lyrics in a much better way; suiting the target audience also.
Our theme is shown by the restless wind which will slow by placing 'interior' objects for example the bed, in the garden suspended by a tree perhaps. The use of dead trees illustrates a sense of loneliness and sadness which the character may be feeling.
His facial expression and manner connotes his mood as depressed, worried and, most of all, anxious.
He wears plain looking clothes whilst staring widely without blinking, supporting a black expression. The male will continue to stare as he sings the lyrics "Wide awake I can't sleep now".
Throughout the video, facial expressions will put across the fact that the character is obviously having some kind of difficulties in his life. But there's no real answer given in the video. The enigma will leave the video as to why he is depressed; as it's left an unanswered question. The audience even more intrigued; curious as to why this young man appears to be so troubled.
Above is the treatment for our music video 'Jubillee's-Insomniac'. We have developed the treatment in order to give the clients a full idea as to what the video will consist of. The treatment ranges from many different things such as what the main character will wear, to the different locations in which the video will be set.
